Sunday 13 May – Change of Venue

Due to the good old English Weather we have decided to move the 13 May show indoors so we can guarantee that it will still run as the forecast is rain rain and more rain ! . 

An updated schedule is available on the events page – this has been condensed down so that there is something for everyone and all the classes will run indoors.

We will be scheduling another Open/members Points show for later in the year so that members wont miss out on their points for specific classes. Members will still receieve their point for attending as per the members rules for 2012 towards their overall points total.

Easter Showing Show – What a great day !!

Well Sunday saw the annual Easter Fun and Showing show, it was a great show and was very well attended by members new and old. It was great to see a great standard of competition which gave our judges a hard task on the day.  The day was topped off with a win for Will Morton taking the Supreme of Show.

The Easter Fancy dress was great fun and lots of mums and dad had obvioulsy worked very hard on the costumes, they were great ! This class was sponsored and judged by Tesco of Maltby who provided lots of Easter Treats for our competitors.

Spring Showing Show and Easter Fun

We are holding an Indoor Spring Showing Show on Easter Sunday, 8 April at Milton Equestrian Centre. There will be a bit of something for everyone, including some Easter Fun for the spectators as well as competitors.

Presentation Evening

Thank you to everyone who attended the presentation evening on Saturday night. It was great to see our members collect their well deserved awards from the 2011 season. A full list of results will be published on the club website. Well done everyone and good luck for the 2012 season !

Membership Update

At the AGM it was agreed that we will no longer be running seperate Members Shows due to low attendance at these events during 2011. Therefore all members points will be awarded to Members at our Open Events and there will be special awards for the highest placed members (we have yet to agree what).

By doing this we can run addition training and fun events. Have you got an idea on what you would like to see ? If so please email your suggestions to news@maltbyridingclub.co.uk or give a member of the comittee a call. The committee will be meeting on 18 January to agree this so please let us have your idea’s !

Helpers – We need you !

MDRC are organised and run by a volunteer committee, who give up huge amounts of time to ensure that members and visitors to our club enjoy the events. In recent years we, as well as a lot of local riding clubs have seen a decline in the number of people willing to give their spare time.

In order for us to guarantee that 0ur events will run in 2011 we need to secure help from our members and supporters.

We have a new page on the website dedicated to helpers, on this page you will see details of events and what help is needed at them. Please  keep an eye on this page and let us know when you can help.
